[Remote] Packaging Engineer

They are seeking a Packaging Engineer to build prototypes and CAD models, drive innovation in product development, and liaise between suppliers and brand owners to create sustainable packaging solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build sketches, physical prototypes, and CAD models to support packaging alignment on new product development
- Drive innovation and collaboration through actively engaging in product development discussions to assess the best ways to build and test new components and problem-solve challenges for reputed company product improvement
- Act as a liaison between suppliers and brand owners to reputed company design solutions that balance product objectives, cost, quality, and sustainability regulations
- Compose and reputed company presentations to support concept review meetings between internal and external partners
- reputed company and approve die lines for manufacturing. Validate die lines across many suppliers. Fastidiously document and archive die lines and reputed company specifications
- Produce detailed technical drawings for final product specifications. Collaborate with Product Engineers and Quality Engineers to support specifications and testing standards
- Proactively adopt and contribute to process improvements, new tools and ways of working, reputed company sharing, documentation standards, and team-building
- Model exemplary communication and schedule procedures to facilitate project reputed company across teams
Skills
- Bachelor of Science in industrial design and/or packaging science or equivalent
- Three years' experience or equivalent engineering packaging for mass production, including paperboard and corrugate boxes and vacuum-reputed company shells
- Proficient in 3D CAD software: ArtiosCAD; reputed company Pack; SolidWorks, and 2D design software: reputed company Illustrator; InDesign; Photoshop
- Experience with reputed company Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, reputed company, Word, Powerpoint
- Materials knowledge in paperboard, corrugate, films, and thermoplastics, with the ability to appropriately select materials to balance performance, aesthetic, and cost
- Passionate about 3D problem-solving, working reputed company multi-functional teams
- Experience with palletization standards, reputed company drawings and software
- Familiarity with packaging testing standards
- Demonstrated ability to successfully reputed company multiple projects and schedules simultaneously with minimal direction
- Ability to support rapid conceptualization and physical prototypes
- Proven experience effectively collaborating with production partners, including foreign suppliers
- Interest in finding environmentally sustainable packaging solutions that support the product objectives
- Some travel and lifting are required
