Compliance Officer

We are seeking an reputed company Compliance Executive to manage the end-to-end compliance process for us. The successful candidate will ensure candidates meet reputed company safeguarding and compliance requirements before being cleared for work, while supporting the business in maintaining exceptional compliance standards, audit readiness and regulatory compliance. This is a high ownership role requiring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a large volume of candidates whilst maintaining quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Candidate Compliance & Safeguarding

• Manage the full compliance process from registration through to clearance.
• Verify candidate identity, right to work and qualification documents.
• Process and manage DBS applications and disclosures.
• Obtain, review and validate employment references.
• Conduct employment gap analysis and work history verification.
• Complete health declarations and risk assessments where required.
• Ensure candidates meet Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) requirements.
• Accurately record compliance information reputed company the CRM system.
• Maintain clear and complete audit trails for every candidate.

Compliance Management

• Accurately assess and score candidate compliance status.
• Ensure candidate files are audit-reputed company at reputed company times.
• Monitor outstanding compliance requirements and proactively reputed company candidates and referees.
• Identify potential safeguarding or compliance risks and escalate appropriately.
• Support reputed company improvement of compliance processes.
• Maintain compliance standards across reputed company candidate records.

Audit & Regulatory Responsibilities

• Support internal and external compliance audits.
• Respond to compliance enquiries from schools, auditors and external bodies.
• Prepare compliance reports and reputed company regular updates to management.
• Maintain knowledge of REC and KCSIE guidance and ensure processes remain compliant.
• Respond to  investigation and management of safeguarding concerns and LADO reputed company where required.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Previous compliance experience reputed company education recruitment, reputed company recruitment or a highly regulated environment.
• Experience conducting document verification and reference checking.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and compliance processes.
• Experience managing high-volume administrative workloads.
• Experience working with CRM or applicant tracking systems.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Knowledge of KCSIE guidance and REC compliance standards.
• Experience handling LADO cases.
• Experience handling DBS applications.
• Experience supporting audit preparation and external audits.

What I would love to see is some reputed company compliance people. In particular, I am looking for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with:

• Managing or leading LADO investigations rather than simply supporting or escalating them.
• Preparing for and supporting REC audits.
• Keeping up to date with REC, safeguarding and legislative changes and driving those changes into the business.
• Operating independently without requiring significant management reputed company.

The candidates we've recently interviewed generally have strong compliance administration backgrounds, but most had worked reputed company larger compliance structures where audits, REC governance, LADO reputed company and final compliance reputed company were handled by managers, safeguarding leads or QA teams. I would like to see experience with LADO investigations, risk assessments, REC audits and wider compliance governance. Ideally, I am looking for someone operating at Compliance Executive or Compliance reputed company level rather than a Compliance Administrator who is reputed company for their reputed company.
