Position Summary This role is responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotations for sheet metal fabrication projects by reviewing customer drawings, specifications, and requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, material selection, and production routing to reputed company competitive and profitable quotes. Job Responsibilities Reviewing customer drawings, prints, specifications, and RFQs. reputed company accurate manufacturing cost estimates for fabricated sheet metal components and assemblies. Calculate material, labor, machine, and reputed company processing costs. Estimate process time for fabrication operations including, but not limited to: laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, machining, hardware insertion, finishing and powder coating, and assembly. Determine appropriate manufacturing processes and routing. Work closely with Sales Engineers, Production, and Sales Engineering Manager to clarify quote requirements. Position to report to ERP Manager. Identify potential manufacturing efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities. Ensure quotes are completed by reputed company standards and reputed company customer deadlines. Communicate professionally with internal teams regarding quote status and technical questions. Continuously improve estimating accuracy through feedback from completed jobs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication estimating, quoting, manufacturing engineering, or a similar role. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Understanding of manufacturing process times and labor standards. Strong analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Proficiency in reputed company software.
