Job Description
As an Airline Pilot at Delta Airlines, you will be responsible for operating our fleet of aircraft and ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers and crew. You will work closely with a co-pilot and a team of flight attendants to deliver a seamless travel experience. Your primary duties will include pre-flight planning, navigating the aircraft, managing in-flight operations, and maintaining communication with air traffic control and ground operations. Key Responsibilities Conduct pre-flight checks and ensure the aircraft is in optimal condition for flight. Prepare and file flight plans, considering weather conditions and air traffic. Navigate the aircraft using advanced avionics and navigation systems. Communicate effectively with air traffic control, ground operations, and cabin crew. Manage in-flight emergencies and ensure passenger safety at all times. Adhere to all aviation regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service and address passenger concerns professionally. Qualifications Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate. Minimum of 1,500 hours of total flight time. First-Class Medical Certificate. Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to handle high-stress situations and make sound decisions. Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus. Preferred Qualifications Type rating in one or more of Deltas aircraft types. Experience with long-haul and international flights. Military aviation background or experience.
