Primary Care Physician

Overview: Groups Recover Together is always looking for harm-reduction aligned Physicians to join our team... Offering $200 an hour depending on licensure. Minimum 5 hours weekly based on availability (M-F: evenings included). Incorporated within our treatment plan is a well-established approach known as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), which is established as the premier method for treating opiate addiction by recognized entities such as the ASAM and SAMHSA. At Groups, our members receive this evidence-based approach through a combined strategy of medication and counseling to assist them in the recovery process. Physician (1099) Requirements: • A requirement for practicing medicine in Kentucky is possessing an active and unencumbered state license as either an MD or DO • To write prescriptions legally, it is necessary to have an active and individual DEA registered in Kentucky. • The requirement that doctors needed a DEAX designation to prescribe Buprenorphine has been amended. It has been revised, and now physicians can prescribe Buprenorphine by presenting proof of attending an 8-hour qualified training course assigned by SAMHSA or having relevant experience in the MAT/SUD space. • Confirmation of Present Board Certification (MD or DO) and Its Necessary Obligations • The position requires candidates to work in an office for a minimum of 5 hours every week in one of the following locations: Ashland, Hazard, Corbin, London, Pineville, Pikeville, and Winchester. Physician (1099) Responsibilities: • Provide support in the preliminary stages of patient evaluation. The physician conducts assessments after the counselor has already carried out an extensive intake. • Patients clinical progress is monitored through frequent group counseling gatherings. Specialized counseling personnel run the sessions while physicians administer medication adjustments and respond to questions as needed. • Sanction the issuance of prescription medicines to patients during their monthly interaction with their medical team. • Providers must adhere to strict deadlines to ensure that all notes and reports are complete in the Groups EMR system. The system is designed to streamline overall operations and to ensure consistency across all providers Our refined protocols serve as a guide for clinical decision-making.
