Manager, Social Insights (Disney Branded Television)

We are searching for a Social Insights Manager to work on our Disney Branded Television series and films. A successful candidate will be responsible for managing social listening and insights to interpret data, translating it into actionable ideas and building reports to support the company’s strategic, brand, and cultural initiatives. The right person for this role is someone passionate about social media and the insights that can be gleaned from it, someone who is comfortable juggling multiple complex projects at once, and has experience across most of the following key areas: social media monitoring/listening, influencer identification, campaign evaluation and online competitive research. You will get to work closely with the Directors of Audience and Title Marketing, as well as the broader marketing organization. Responsibilities • Manage social research projects for the Disney Branded Television marketing team - measuring sentiment and conversation through social listening for the Disney TV and Film titles, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, TVA channels. • Work with stakeholders to establish campaign specific KPIs while measuring performance, creating benchmarks and communicating insights to senior leadership. • Provide social insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders regarding the performance of our titles and audiences. • Advise, communicate, and provide recommendations on how to evolve social tactics throughout each campaign as new data emerges. • Work closely with marketing to inform on strategies or insights that help create high impact moments around title debuts – announcements, trailers, press etc. • Partner with social insights teams across the Disney org and enterprise research/insights vendors on reporting and best practices. Qualifications • 5+ years experience with social media insights and analyzing data in a content driven environment to make strategic decisions around audience engagement. • A demonstrated understanding of social platform tools and best practices across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and more. • A team-first, collaborative mentality. • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills. • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines. • Passionate about research, television, marketing, emerging media, and technology. • A high degree of drive, energy, accountability, and initiative. • A commitment to inclusivity. • Ability to build and manage relationships. Preferred Qualifications • Mix of agency, vendor and client-side social media insights experience. • Experience at a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) streaming service or a research company working with a DTC streaming service. • Experience setting up dashboards and workspaces with vendors such as Sprinklr, NetBase, ListenFirst, etc. • Experience with primary research methodologies and analysis. • Strong interest in utilizing emerging technologies and systems. • Bachelor’s degree. The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $75,200.00 to $103,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
