We are seeking a skilled Project Manager II to enhance our Research & Collaboration (R&C) team's project management infrastructure and provide ongoing support for high-priority, complex projects. This job is 100% Remote Position Details • Title: Project Manager 2 • Location: Remote • Hours: Part-time, 20 hours/week (Monday-Friday) • Duration: 12+ months Key Responsibilities • Assess and enhance existing project management practices: • Evaluate current PM practices for effectiveness and areas of improvement • Develop new PM procedures, materials, and implementation plans • Provide ongoing project management for team portfolio: • Identify high-priority projects requiring PM support • Execute PM tasks for selected projects Specific Tasks Part 1: Assessment and Enhancement • Meet with team leadership to understand existing PM approaches • Analyze current practices and identify areas for improvement • Develop implementation plans for new procedures and materials Part 2: Ongoing Project Management • Collaborate with team leadership to identify and prioritize complex projects • Establish PM support for selected projects • Carry out ongoing project management throughout the engagement Deliverables • Analysis of current PM practices with recommendations • Revised Project Management Procedures • New PM documents, including a Project Plan Template • Project Prioritization List • Project Plans for prioritized projects Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience • Strong project management skills and experience with complex projects • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Effective communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Information • Overtime may be available with prior approval for hours worked beyond 35 per week • This position plays a crucial role in supporting agencies' use of emerging technology If you're passionate about improving project management processes and driving impactful technology initiatives, we want to hear from you.
