Position Overview Stellar Virtual is seeking dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teachers to join our team in Texas. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity in our virtual learning environment when regular instructors are unavailable. You will deliver engaging and effective online instruction, follow established lesson plans, and maintain a positive and supportive virtual classroom atmosphere. Essential Position Functions Step in as a substitute instructor for virtual classes when regular teachers are absent. Review and follow provided lesson plans, ensuring the smooth continuation of learning objectives. Deliver live or pre-recorded virtual lessons using the designated platform and tools. Provide clear instructions, explanations, and feedback to students in a supportive manner. Facilitate class discussions, answer questions, and encourage student engagement. Manage virtual classroom behavior and maintain a positive and respectful learning environment. Assess and evaluate student work, providing timely feedback to promote academic growth. Collaborate with the Academic team to ensure seamless integration of substitute teaching. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff as needed. Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students. Education & Certification Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Prefer Valid Teaching Certification in Texas). Previous teaching experience in a virtual or traditional classroom setting is preferred. Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and online teaching tools. Strong technology skills and the ability to navigate various educational software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage with students effectively. Adaptable and flexible to accommodate varying grade levels and subject areas. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive and orderly virtual learning environment.
