Part-Time Accounts Payable Associate

Waynflete, an independent day school serving 560 students in Portland, ME is seeking a detail-oriented and organized part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team! This is a 3-year position for capital campaign support. Location: Waynflete Campus (360 Spring St. Portland, ME), and eligible for partial remote work. Expected hours: 12-18 per week, flexible schedule (some hours must fall within our business hours of 8-4:30 M-F) Responsibilities: • Accurately process and scan invoices and related documents into an AI invoice processing system • Set up and maintain vendor files including W-9 forms • Assist School faculty and staff with purchasing processes and reimbursement requests • Process invoices for payment, perform bi-weekly check run • Manage credit card expense reports and monthly processing • Other accounting duties as assigned • Assist with and participate in school events Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge: • Equivalent to an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business/Public Administration, or related field preferred. Experience in lieu of education will be considered. • Basic knowledge of accounting principles • Accounting software experience preferred • Excellent problem solving skills • Attention to detail • Strong organizational skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills and collaborative spirit To apply, please click belowand upload a resume, cover letter, and contact info for three professional references.
