About the position The Loan Processor III (2nd Mortgages/Home Equity) at Space Coast Credit Union is responsible for preparing loans for closing, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining member relationships. This role involves managing a pipeline of loan files, resolving member issues, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete. Responsibilities Prepares the loan for closing and ensures all closing documents are correct and compliant with regulations. , Ensures loan approval stipulations are met prior to closing and manages third-party requests. , Resolves member problems and assesses needs efficiently to maintain profitable relationships. , Orders necessary documentation from borrowers and external sources for loan decisions. , Reviews asset documentation to ensure compliance with program guidelines. , Boards completed loans and disburses funds as necessary. , Answers incoming calls and assists applicants with loan inquiries. , Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulations and standards relevant to the position. , Handles a pipeline of 30-50 loan files, meeting processing time goals. , Communicates with borrowers regarding documentation and file progress. , Adheres to productivity and loan quality standards to ensure quality service. , Supports sales efforts by providing appropriate product and service materials to members. , Demonstrates professionalism and effective communication in all interactions. Requirements 1 to 3 years of prior processing experience in consumer loan products or mortgage loan processing. , Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field. , Knowledge of State and Federal guidelines related to mortgage lending, including CFPB regulations. , Bilingual is preferred. Nice-to-haves Experience as a closer or underwriter with an emphasis on conventional loan products.
