Hybrid Property Accountant | Remote | Accountant Role
Job Overview We are looking for a diligent Property Accountant to join our esteemed organization, where we pride ourselves on creating a collaborative and family-oriented work environment. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in preparing detailed monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial transactions. Key Responsibilities Oversee move-in and move-out accounting processes Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable entries Monitor daily bank account activities and record transactions Prepare monthly financial statements and track all transactions for assigned properties Adjust tenant accounts as needed Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Post journal entries when necessary Address tenant disputes with professionalism and timeliness Review leases and ensure accurate billing for tenants Analyze financial statements and reports, encompassing income statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, aged receivables, and rent rolls Required Skills At least 3 years of accounting experience Proficient in real estate accounting software such as Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, or Real Page Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Exceptional attention to detail Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting Strong organizational capabilities and adeptness at multitasking under pressure Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience in property management or a similar field Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred
