Utilization Review Coordinator - LPN - Part Time

Seaside Health System is seeking a part-time Utilization Review-LPN in our Baton Rouge Inpatient Hospital. Successful candidate is an individual who value clinical excellence, integrity and treating patients and colleagues with dignity and respect. Requirements: • One year or more work experience in a psych/mental health/behavioral health facility preferred but not required. • Current Louisiana state license required • Active listening skills and empathy for patients. • Mature, professional, and positive attitude. • Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to set boundaries, use and interpret nonverbal ques. • Emotional Intelligence including the ability to manage stress and anxiety, knows when to ask for help and how to be a reliable colleague. • Critical thinking including the ability to implement interventions that are proven to result in a positive outcome for patients. Responsibilities may include: • Reviews patient information upon admission and submit clinicals to external insurance companies to obtain precertification in a timely manner.
