About the position The Associate, Investment Banking role at TD Securities (USA) LLC involves supporting deal teams in the syndication and structuring of financial transactions, particularly focusing on non-investment-grade rated borrowers. The position requires conducting due diligence, credit research, and financial analysis, as well as preparing client presentations and proposals. The associate will also mentor junior colleagues and maintain relationships with financial institutions. Responsibilities • Support syndication and structuring of financial transactions for sponsor and corporate clients. , • Conduct initial transaction due diligence and credit research. , • Perform comparable debt and enterprise value analysis. , • Prepare pre-screens and approvals for new financing opportunities. , • Engage in ad-hoc projects and client presentations. , • Review and negotiate loan agreement documents. , • Attend client meetings and participate in negotiations. , • Research and analyze clients' financial situations and market data. , • Perform complex financial and M&A financing modeling in Excel. , • Prepare external client proposals and internal underwriting memos. , • Maintain and develop relationships with other financial institutions. , • Mentor and oversee the work of junior colleagues. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Financial Management, or closely related field. , • Two years of experience in financial analysis or related position. , • Experience in financial and M&A modeling. , • Experience in analyzing and structuring transactions. , • Experience in assessing the value of private and public companies. , • Experience in credit documentation negotiation. , • Familiarity with Bloomberg, CapIQ, or Pitchbook. Nice-to-haves • Master's degree in a related field. , • Completion of an internship in finance or investment banking.
