About the position The Logistics Claims Analyst position at BTI Solutions is a full-time role based in Santa Ana, CA, responsible for managing the logistics claims lifecycle for Samsung products. This includes handling both inbound and outbound shipping and delivery investigations, addressing credit issues for customers, filing claims, and recovering claims from third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carriers. The analyst will work under the guidance of a manager and will be integral in ensuring that the claims process runs smoothly by collecting and reviewing necessary delivery documentation, investigating discrepancies, and processing claims through effective communication with logistics colleagues, business partners, and customers. In this role, the analyst will investigate, review, and validate discrepancy cases to process credits to customers. They will communicate with the credit and collection team to ensure that all deductions are either disputed or credited correctly. The position also involves resolving claims and verifying disputes or denials by liaising with 3PL providers or carriers. Timely settlement and closure of claim cases in accordance with 3PL contracts are crucial responsibilities. The analyst will prepare and submit claimable cases to SEA insurance and follow through on settlements, maintaining communication with insurance for cargo claims. Additionally, the analyst will monitor the performance of 3PL providers, analyzing and prioritizing workloads in claim creation and recovery. They will be responsible for preparing daily and weekly reports for management and analyzing claims data to identify trends and patterns, recommending process improvement opportunities to the logistics operations team. Other duties may include handling ad hoc reports as assigned. Responsibilities • Investigate, review and validate discrepancy cases to process credit to customer , • Communicate with credit and collection team to ensure all deductions are disputed or credited correctly , • Resolve claims and verify disputes/denials by communicating with 3PL/carrier , • Ensure claim cases are settled and closed timely in accordance with 3PL contract , • Prepare and submit claimable cases to SEA insurance and follow through the settlement; communicate with insurance for cargo claims , • Monitor performance of 3PL analyzing and prioritizing workload in claim creation and recovery , • Prepare daily and weekly reports for management , • Analyze claims data to identify trends and patterns and recommend process improvement opportunities to the Logistics operations team , • Perform all other duties as assigned and prepare ad hoc reports Requirements • Bachelor's or undergrad Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or similar , • 5 years of work experience in a business or logistics environment , • General knowledge of logistics and/or supply chain is preferable , • Experience/Knowledge in SAP , • Ability to read, prepare, interpret, and understand product shipment information in English from various order and shipping documents , • Ability to manage and work effectively within cross-functional groups , • Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment , • Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills , • Strong written and oral communication skills , • Ability to work independently or in a team environment to achieve project goals Nice-to-haves • Claims experience , • Organized , • Data analysis skills
