The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, specifically with personal, self-employed, and corporate returns, and must be bilingual in Spanish to effectively communicate with a diverse clientele. In this role, you will utilize Intuit ProSeries for tax preparation and QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks. The position demands a minimum of three years of experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation, along with a valid PTIN or the ability to obtain one. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing accurate tax returns, and providing exceptional customer service to clients. The work environment is office-based, and the schedule is primarily day shift, Monday to Friday. The role offers opportunities for supplemental pay through attendance bonuses, performance bonuses, and overtime pay, making it a rewarding position for those who excel in their duties. Responsibilities • Prepare personal, self-employed, and corporate tax returns using Intuit ProSeries. , • Manage bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, ensuring accurate financial records. , • Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns. , • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements for the Illinois Department of Revenue. , • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate peak tax season demands. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of tax preparation experience with personal, self-employed, and corporate returns. , • Bilingual in Spanish, with strong communication skills. , • 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, specifically using QuickBooks. , • Ability to obtain a PTIN if not already possessed. , • Experience with sales tax preparation and compliance.
