Part Time Accountant - Financial Controller
Position Summary:The Part-Time Remote Accountant & Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring smooth cash flow, contributing to effective financial management and preparing forecasts to safeguard the financial health of the company. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills who thrives in a remote work environment. Responsibilities: Monitor cash flow across multiple accounts on a daily basis and provide regular updates to the owners. Pay invoices from contractors and vendors in a timely and efficient manner Match receipts and invoices to corresponding transactions in Quickbooks and perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. Ensure books are up-to-date and provide necessary information to the tax accountant. Manage receivables by creating and sending invoices to customers and following up to ensure timely payments. Collaborate with department managers to gather necessary financial information and provide data-driven insights that enhance efficiency and profitability. Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and work with department managers to improve efficiencies to maximize the financial performance of the business. Assist and advise owners in preparing, analyzing, and updating financial forecasts and budgets by analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential issues. Ensure and advise ownership with compliance with all accounting standards and regulations Support audit processes and ensure completion of appropriate required documentation Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial team members Strong work ethic, reliability, and a collaborative attitude Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience. Proficiency in Quickbooks and basic Spreadsheets Strong knowledge of financial reconciliation, cash flow management, and forecasting. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Experience in the travel, transportation or hospitality industry is a plus. Details: Part-time: 15-20 hours per week. Flexible work schedule with remote capabilities.
