ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure for our prestigious client in the telecommunications industry. You will work with various cloud services and technologies to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable cloud solutions. Your expertise in cloud administration, automation, and DevOps practices will be essential in delivering high-quality services and solutions that meet the client’s needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
AWS Cloud Services Management: Administer and manage cloud services on AWS, including networking and storage systems. Utilize various service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) employing Cloud Adoption Framework to streamline processes.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform & Terragrunt and to automate provisioning and configuration.
Networking and Security: Apply networking principles and protocols to manage cloud networks. Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM and compliance with relevant standards.
DevOps Practices: Apply DevOps principles to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab. Ensure streamlined integration, deployment, and automation of cloud applications.
Scripting and Automation: Use scripting languages (Python, Lambda Functions) to automate cloud operations and develop solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.
Containerization and Orchestration: Implement and manage containerization solutions with Docker and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes to ensure scalable and resilient deployments.
Configuration Management: Utilize automation and configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible) to maintain consistent and reliable cloud environments.
Monitoring and Logging: Use monitoring and logging tools (AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack) to track cloud infrastructure performance, detect issues, and ensure system reliability.
REQUIREMENTS
AWS Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Platform and their administration, networking, and storage systems (working with large setups with hundreds of accounts will be a benefit) .
IaC and DevOps: Proficiency with Terraform (knowing Terragrunt is a plus) and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
Networking and Security: Knowledge of networking principles, cloud security best practices, IAM, and compliance standards relevant to the cloud.
Scripting and Automation: Strong skills in scripting using Python and Lambda for automation and solution development.
Configuration Management: Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
Containerization and Orchestration: Experience with containerization (Docker) and containers orchestration using Kubernetes.
Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack) for cloud infrastructure.
