Responsibilities • Oversee the park's landscapes, water bodies, and boundaries to promote public engagement. , • Safeguard visitor well-being and uphold adherence to park rules along with relevant statutes. , • Vigilantly observe the park's facilities to ensure a secure environment for all guests. , • Foster a welcoming atmosphere for community interaction. , • Enforce compliance with established regulations to contribute to the overall safety and enjoyment of the park. Requirements • Successful completion of the DCNR Ranger Trainee program; or , • Completion of a department approved law enforcement training program and 15 college credits in a related field; or , • One year of experience as a forest or park ranger with arrest authority. , • Must be at least 21 years of age at time of employment. , • Possession of an active motor vehicle license. , • Obtain commission as a State Park or State Forest Officer. , • Obtain valid certification in standard first aid and CPR during the probationary period. , • Pass psychological testing (MMPI) and background checks.
