Shear Machine Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Shear Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the shear Machine to cut metal as required in the manufacturing process. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Shear Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that production runs smoothly and meets quality standards. Duties

• Operate and monitor machinery including CNC Shear machines, cross train for press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate components according to specifications.
• Implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in the manufacturing process to ensure precision.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation to management.
• Use basic math skills to calculate measurements and tolerances for production tasks.
• Safely operate forklift for material handling as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Shear Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, press brake machines, and other relevant equipment is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles is a plus.
• Ability to keep all metals cut and in order in a fast paced business
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area.
