Software Development Engineer II, AWS Billing, AWS Billing AWS Commerce Platform Tax and Compliance team is looking for software development engineers with a strong sense of ownership and passion for delivering creative solutions for complex problems at "Amazon scale". You will design highly scalable systems, develop distributed services, and build solid platform solutions based on real-time customer data and demanding service-level agreements. You will collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing. Key job responsibilities Drive projects to launch AWS into new regions. Think globally and act locally to deliver the best customer experience in any region. Make new region expansion repeatable, simple, and faster. Deliver scalable systems/workflows to address region-specific regulatory/compliance requirements. Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience. Experience programming with at least one software programming language. 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
