Corporate Vice President, Advanced Planning Consultant

About the position As a Corporate Vice President, Advanced Planning Consultant at New York Life, you will play a pivotal role in supporting agents, General Office (GO) management, and consultants by providing one-on-one case consultation and case design services. Your primary responsibility will be to help identify and implement various estate, charitable, transactional, business, and retirement planning concepts and strategies that connect with the sales of our company's products. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while covering the Southern California region. In this role, you will provide telephone support to agents, Sales Development Managers, Product Consultants, and other New York Life management personnel who require assistance with the technical, legal, and tax aspects of advanced estate, business, and retirement planning tools and techniques. You will work collaboratively with other divisions of New York Life Insurance Company to develop and promote advanced market initiatives aimed at enhancing the sale and marketing of our life insurance products. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing marketing, sales, and educational materials for agents, clients, and their advisors on advanced market life insurance and other insurance product applications. This includes creating resources that focus on estate, business, and retirement planning strategies, ensuring that agents are well-equipped to meet their clients' needs effectively. Responsibilities • Support Agents, GO Management, and Consultants by providing one-on-one case consultation and case design services. , • Provide telephone support to Agents, Sales Development Managers, Product Consultants, and other New York Life management personnel. , • Work jointly with other divisions of New York Life to develop and promote advanced market initiatives for the sale and marketing of life insurance products. , • Develop marketing, sales, and educational materials for agents, clients, and their advisors on advanced market life insurance and other insurance product applications. Requirements • JD degree and Life Insurance experience, in good standing in any jurisdiction to which they are admitted to the bar. , • Minimum 5 years' experience in point of sales, field experience supporting agents in closing complex Life Insurance cases. , • Strong knowledge and experience in the Advanced Markets, including estate, retirement, and business planning expertise. , • Ability to communicate effectively with Agents, clients, and other advisors (attorneys, CPAs). , • Professional written and oral communication style as well as strong organizational skills. , • Strong relationship management skills; effectively work with agents and management within the general offices. Nice-to-haves • Experience in developing marketing materials for advanced market life insurance products. , • Familiarity with FINRA regulations and compliance requirements.
