Senior, Software Engineer
About the Team VIZIO is looking for Sr Software Engineer to join our Inscape Core Engineering Team. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic developer to build large scale platform features for our automated content recognition (ACR) system. This platform is highly scalable, and capable of processing millions of operations per minute coming from millions of TVs, efficiently storing petabytes of data and providing fast insights from the data. This position will be in Denver, CO. What You Will Do Design, develop, monitor, review, unit test and deploy code for the teams services Write and maintain Terraform (IaC) configurations, CI/CD tools scripts e.g. GitHub Actions and Python scripts for deploying infrastructure to multiple environments Take ownership of releasing code for new features Build and maintain the teams cloud-based infrastructure like Kafka clusters and EC2 instances etc. Triage application and system issues to debug, track, recover services quickly Collaborate with other developers, SREs and other teams to integrate and streamline development and deployment workflows Contribute to and maintain existing documentation including educational content, system architecture diagrams, post-mortems, and incident management runbooks About You Bachelors Degree (BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science) or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience with software development in languages like Java, Go, distributed systems, micro-service architecture Fluent in one or more scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl Strong experience with Unix/Linux operating systems Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef Able to write and deploy automation pipelines Experienced with Docker and an understanding of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or ECS Experience with monitoring tools for example, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic Deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure Understands observability and incident management concepts Experience in debugging complex problems About VIZIO We are Beautifully Simple.
