A well-established, family-focused farming operation in Southwest Arizona is seeking a Senior Controller to oversee financial management for its expanding produce, seed, cotton, and grain business. This is a key leadership role within a dynamic agriculture company known for its strong culture and professional team. The Senior Controller will manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, general ledger oversight, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, financial reporting, risk management, taxes, and lender relations. The role also involves analyzing capital improvements, equipment investments, and resource allocation. The company follows GAAP standards and operates on an accrual basis. The Senior Controller will oversee three accounting team members and consolidate financials across four entities. This role requires hands-on involvement, process improvements, and cost-saving recommendations to support the company’s growth. Key Qualifications: • 7+ years of finance experience, with a strong background in cost accounting • CPA or CMA preferred but not required • Agriculture experience is beneficial but not essential • Strong management skills and ability to collaborate across departments • Fluency in English and Spanish is recommended • Experience with Microsoft Business Central and ERP systems This is a crucial role for this exceptionally well-run company, offering the opportunity to help guide the ownership in making informed financial decisions.
