Night Shift Floor Tech

About the position HES Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated Night Shift Floor Technician to join our custodial team in Langston, OK. The Floor Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors within the facility, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff alike. In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of floor care tasks, including carpet cleaning using both bonnet and extraction methods, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, and spray buffing hard surface floors. You will operate high and low-speed buffers, as well as propane burnishing equipment, ensuring that all equipment is maintained and operated safely. Responsibilities • Perform carpet cleaning using bonnet and extraction methods. , • Scrub, strip, seal, wax, and spray buff hard surface floors. , • Operate high and low-speed buffers and propane burnishing equipment. , • Maintain and operate all floor cleaning and finishing equipment, including floor buffers, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment. , • Follow established safety precautions for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facility. Requirements • Previous floor tech experience is required. , • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds. , • Excellent work history with a focus on reliability. , • Team-focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively and take direction. , • Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment with attention to detail. , • Reliable transportation is necessary.
