About the position The Art Instructor position is a part-time, contract role focused on teaching art to students in grades K-12. The instructor will inspire creativity and self-expression through various artistic mediums, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in art and teaching, with the ability to adapt lessons to different age groups and skill levels. Responsibilities ? Teach art classes to students from grades K-12, adapting teaching style and content to the appropriate grade level. , ? Develop comprehensive lesson plans that engage students in a variety of art mediums including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and digital arts. , ? Foster a nurturing, creative, and inclusive environment for students to explore their artistic skills. , ? Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student's work to help improve their techniques and overall creative expression. , ? Demonstrate art techniques and assist students in applying these techniques to their own work. , ? Organize and prepare students' artwork for school exhibits and community events. , ? Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (Master's degree preferred). , ? Prior teaching experience or relevant work experience in a K-12 setting preferred. , ?
