Pharmacy Technician-Bilingual

Title: Pharmacy Technician-Bilingual Location: Reading, PA Job Type: FTE/Permanent Position Overview We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care. This role focuses on assisting in the timely, safe, and accurate filling of prescriptions while providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities ? Assist the pharmacist with serving patients and maintaining the pharmacy department. ? Sterilize surfaces and equipment and prepare the pharmacy for opening. ? Greet customers and answer inquiries. ? Receive prescriptions and verify their validity. ? Process prescriptions electronically, ensuring all information is complete and accurate. ? Resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims. ? Select appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions. ? Sort, stock, label medications, and monitor inventory. ? Perform administrative tasks such as record-keeping. ? Comply with security measures and quality standards. ? Stay current with relevant healthcare regulations and credentialing. ? Assist the pharmacist with clinical and non-clinical operations, documenting and reporting issues. ? Package orders in accordance with policies and procedures. ? Coordinate medication delivery details with patients. ? Prepare and arrange delivery through appropriate services. ? Communicate with insurance carriers to obtain payment for prescriptions. ? Handle incoming phone calls for prescription orders and refills, and make outgoing follow-up calls to patients. ? Triage calls and escalate to leadership when necessary. Additional Qualifications ? Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician. ? Fluent in both Spanish and English for effective communication with a diverse patient base. Apply Job!
