JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Description of responsibilities and minimum qualifications: • Assist with planting, pruning, and harvesting of apple and peach trees • Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal tree health • Participate in fruit assessment activities and sample preparation in the lab • Learn and apply lab techniques for analyzing soil and fruit samples • Contribute to ongoing research projects related to sustainable orchard practices Requirements: • Interest in sustainability and tree fruit production • Driver's license and means to commute to the orchard at Rock Springs • Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic outdoor environment • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions • Penn State undergraduate student in good standing Perks: • Hands-on training in all aspects of orchard management • Opportunity to present research findings at conferences • Collaborative and supportive team environment • Flexible scheduling to accommodate student commitments Application Instructions: Apply online via WorkDay and include a 1-2 paragraphs description about your interests, skills, and experience (max 1 page) and your CV.
