Opportunity Schedule Details: • Location of Services: Local School Campus • Lewistown, PA • Academic School Year Calendar, following Standard School Hours. Typical Job Duties: • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student. • Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students in special education. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including parents, therapists, and other educators, to ensure comprehensive support for students. • Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes. • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution. • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education. • Additional endorsements or certifications in specific areas of special education (Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, etc.) is a plus.
