About the position The Social Innovation Lead at Target is responsible for shaping the future of social commerce and innovation, informing content strategies, and driving growth within the social landscape. This role involves collaboration with various partners across the enterprise to support Target's growth strategies and establish meaningful relationships with social platforms. The position requires leveraging social platform knowledge to create cohesive strategies and innovative testing experiences. Responsibilities • Refine and optimize social growth strategy and roadmap by leveraging social analysis trends and performance. , • Collaborate with Content Strategy Team on cohesive creative platform strategies including content trends and measurement. , • Evaluate and monitor competitive social landscape and emerging platforms to inform social innovation. , • Evolve quarterly and annual social insights and content analysis to empower cross-functional engagement. , • Partner with Digital Media Team to define a cohesive paid and organic social strategy. , • Establish user-generated content strategy and unlock connectivity across Digital, Creative, and Marketing Teams. , • Lead social newsletter routine and editorial content to drive awareness of social performance wins and opportunities. , • Act as social consultant to broader enterprise and Target Marketing on external trends and platform innovation. , • Build routines to share regular Social Innovation updates for the broader team. Requirements • 8+ years of social media, digital, product, platform or channel strategy experience. , • Experience with core social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Google, YouTube, X, and Bluesky. , • Ability to thrive in ambiguous scenarios and lead with curiosity. , • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and influence strategic innovation. , • Excellent relationship and communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience in a retail environment. , • Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
