Position: Remote Sign Language Interpreter Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor Location: Remote (Nevada) EIPA Score Required: 3.5 or higher Urgency: Immediate Need Position Overview: We are urgently looking for a qualified Remote Sign Language Interpreter with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher to handle an increased volume of assignments. This role requires someone who can deliver accurate and professional interpretation services remotely, ensuring effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and hearing individuals. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality remote sign language interpretation in an educational setting
• Ensure clear and accurate communication
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards in all interpretations.
• Collaborate with school staffto ensure timely and effective service delivery.

Requirements:

• EIPA written score of 3.5 or higher and RID
• Active SLI licensure in the State of Nevada
• Master's Degree in Deaf Education or related field.
• Proven experience as a sign language interpreter.
• Strong understanding of ASL (American Sign Language) and interpreting best practices.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Certification from a recognized interpreting organization (e.g., RID, NAD). Previous experience with remote interpreting platforms.
