The IT Technical Architect (Operational Technologies) is a strategic role providing technical and functional expertise in the implementation of operational systems such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Gas Distribution, and Meter Measurement systems in use by Gas Operations. The Architect will combine deep understanding and experience of shaping functional and technical solutions associated with maximizing the value of the physical assets of the natural gas division. This role requires a deep understanding of how to leverage technology to maximize the value and optimize the lifecycle performance of our Natural Gas Operations-related assets, from compliance to maintenance and daily operations. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Bachelor’s degree in Information/Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems or equivalent discipline from an accredited institution. Minimum of 8 years of direct work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position or performing duties closely related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position. Minimum of 10 years of experience in any combination of SCADA, Meter Measurement, Distribution Systems, and Network Infrastructure Deep expertise in SCADA platforms, industrial communications protocols (Ex. Modbus), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) programming concepts, and industrial networking is crucial. Deep technical knowledge in database design development.
