This position will work hybrid in our Mexico City office.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Engineer to join one of our Platform teams. Specifically, as a Sr. Engineer, you will own the on-going development and sustainment of the Analytics microservice on our Platform.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and highly available cloud-based applications using C#/.NET Core, AWS Web Services, Redshift and S3.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and provide architectural decisions.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.

  • Optimize applications and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring the reliability and availability of our systems, including during off-hours for outages.

  • Contribute to development process improvements and automation process (code quality, E2E testing, security scans, etc.), monitoring, and tiered incidence response.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to our core technologies.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong professional experience working as a software engineer, with a focus on C# and Python 3 development.

  • Proven expertise in designing and developing cloud-based applications using AWS and related services

  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture or Message-Driven Architecture and distributed systems.

  • Experience developing multi-tenanted applications.

  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration

  • Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.

  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and best practices.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

We'd Love to See

  • Experience with data engineering and data lifecycle management.

  • Experience in Go programming.

  • Familiarity with Angular and Typescript.

  • Knowledge of additional Cloud Platforms and services (Azure or GCP) and additional Kubernetes Platforms.

  • Experience with Kubernetes tooling such as Helm charts, Monitoring tools, Tilt, or others.
