Network Engineer IV

GDIT is seeking a Network Engineer IV to lead in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network systems. The successful candidate will have 8+ years of experience in network and communication roles, with a focus on LAN/WAN, wireless, and network security.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in network and communication roles, with a focus on LAN/WAN, wireless, and network security.
• Deep understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, the OSI model, and various network topologies.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing networks, including LANs, WANs, and wireless services.
• Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data security protocols.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network issues.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and technologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages and automation tools to automate network tasks.
• Experience in managing network projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• A commitment to staying up to date with the latest network technologies and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly self-motivated.
