Sr FP&A Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst (FPA) plays a critical role in shaping our business strategy through deep financial analysis and insights. This individual will be a trusted business partner, applying expertise in variance analysis, strategic financial planning, and profit and loss (PL) dynamics to support decision-making across the organization. Success in this role depends on strong collaboration, proactive financial insight, and the ability to drive meaningful business outcomes through analysis and communication.

What you'll do:

• Business Partnering Strategic Influence
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and financial impacts.
• Act as a trusted advisor to department leaders, leveraging financial analysis to shape and influence business strategies.
• Communicate complex financial concepts in a clear, actionable manner, ensuring stakeholders across the business can make informed decisions.
Monthly Financial Performance Metrics, PL Analysis Variance Analysis
• Conduct thorough income statement and PL analysis, ensuring a deep understanding of revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability drivers.
• Identify trends affecting financial performance and provide actionable insights to improve operating efficiency and maximize profitability.
• Address budget and forecast discrepancies with clear recommendations for improvement.
• Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly financial reports, providing executive leadership with clear performance insights.
• Utilize advanced modeling techniques to enhance accuracy and depth in financial reporting.

Special Projects Value Creation

• Serve as the finance lead for special projects, offering analytical insights to support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure financial considerations are integrated into major business decisions.
• Drive business growth by proactively identifying opportunities for financial optimization and efficiency.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
• A high level of accuracy in reporting, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
• A proactive and ambitious mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
• A commitment to fostering collaborative relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience as a Financial Analyst specializing in FPA functions.
• Expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and drive impactful conversations across the business.
• Deep understanding of income statements, PL dynamics, and financial drivers affecting business performance.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $70,000 - $100,000 CAD and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
