• **Please officially apply through our career page at https://folkflow.com/co/bem/job/freelance-copy-editor Freelance Copy Editor Bauer Entertainment Marketing is seeking a talented and innovative Freelance Copy Editor to support our content team and help drive results for our music, sports, and entertainment clients. In this contracted role, you will help oversee and edit written content for various marketing channels such as social media, websites, email, SMS, radio, and television. You will work closely with our team to provide quality assurance on copy created by others that resonates with target audiences. You may also be asked to create new written content for campaigns. This position reports to the Content Marketing Specialist and will be supported by other specialists. Work can either be conducted remotely or from BEM’s workspace in East Nashville. Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a copy editor and/or copywriter in a digital marketing agency or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and impactful work in the music, sports, or entertainment industries.
• Exceptional writing skills with a keen eye for detail and a mastery of grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
• Ability to think strategically and conceptually with a deep understanding of audience psychology and storytelling principles.
• Proficiency in SEO principles and keyword research to optimize content for search engines and drive organic traffic.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Familiarity with industry tools and platforms, including content management systems, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.
• Passion for music, sports, and entertainment

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines and grammatical standards.
• Maintain consistency in brand voice and messaging across all marketing channels, while also adapting tone and style to suit specific campaigns and target audiences.
• Contribute ideas and concepts for written content that aligns with our clients' goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of account managers, account coordinators, and interns. Educate the team on best practices and trends to enhance the effectiveness of our content
• Write fresh, vivid copy that has personality and emotionally connects with the target audiences - no matter the topic.
