We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Social Media Moderator to join our Viewer Experience team at Disney Direct to Consumer & Hulu in Santa Monica, CA. As a remote-based team member, you will be at the forefront of innovation, driving success and delivering exceptional customer experiences through social media channels.

As a Social Media Moderator, you will be the first point of contact for supporting viewers through Facebook and Twitter, serving as a critical brand ambassador for our premium streaming services, including Disney+ and Hulu. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and passion for customer service to resolve inquiries, provide product knowledge, and identify trends to drive business growth.

Job Summary:

Disney Direct to Consumer (DTC) is a premium streaming service that offers a vast library of content from renowned brands, including Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Disney, and NatGeo. Our DTC team is dedicated to delivering a world-class direct-to-consumer experience, and we are looking for a talented Social Media Moderator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service via social media channels (Twitter and Facebook), responding to viewer inquiries about account management, billing, content, and site navigation
  • Relay expert-level knowledge of Hulu services and products to users in a clear and concise manner
  • Communicate user feedback and technical issues to Resolution Specialists and developers with precision and detail
  • Identify and communicate trends and areas for improvement to the social media team, driving business growth and optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve device and technology issues, ensuring a seamless viewer experience

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, plus one year of experience in customer service
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or retail, with excellent communication, grammar, and analytical skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude, with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to thrive under pressure and take ownership of issues from start to finish
  • Growth mindset, with a willingness to take initiative and help find solutions when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or relevant professional experience

  • Competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $47,900.00 to $64,100.00 per year
