We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team on a remote basis. As a Medical Insurance Verification Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the necessary medical treatment and care by verifying their insurance coverage and obtaining prior authorizations. About the Role
- Remote work opportunity from anywhere in Texas
- Competitive salary of $17/hr with weekly pay and benefits
- Flexible schedule: Monday to Friday between 7am-8pm CST
- Equipment provided and shipped to you
Responsibilities
- Conduct prior-authorizations (PAs) and insurance verification for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance payers via telephone and email
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Receive and make outbound calls to patients and insurance providers
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year recent experience in medical insurance, prior authorization, or a related field
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid program administration
- Knowledge of insurance verification and claim adjudication or medical billing
- Familiarity with ICD-10, HCPCS, or CPT is a plus!
- Excellent attendance record with no attendance issues
