Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in maintaining a well-organized and engaging classroom environment
- Support individual students or groups with learning activities and materials
- Administer and score tests, as well as record student progress
- Develop and implement special strategies to reinforce student learning
- Operate and care for classroom equipment and materials
- Supervise students in various settings, including halls, restrooms, and playgrounds
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and conduct field trips and other educational activities
- Maintain accurate records, including student attendance and progress
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents
Requirements:
- Passing scores on the WorkKeys Test or completion of 48 college credits
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to supporting the Hattiesburg Public School District Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan
