We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Specialist to join our team at American Airlines. As a key member of our Facilities and GSE Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.

Job Summary:

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our facilities and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). You will work closely with our technical operations team to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company standards and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating the qualifications and performance of our maintenance staff and vendors, as well as providing technical guidance and support to ensure compliance with our maintenance programs and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the qualifications and performance of maintenance staff and vendors
• Provide technical guidance and support to ensure compliance with maintenance programs and procedures
• Initiate and manage repair work orders for time and material vendors
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness
• Advise station management on facilities and GSE maintenance-related issues
• Collaborate with station personnel and vendors to facilitate repairs and maintenance activities
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and GSE to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including fire suppression systems, fuel systems, and HVAC systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
