Attorney III
The State Compensation Insurance Fund is California’s largest provider of workers’ compensation insurance, established to provide diverse and comprehensive products and services. They are seeking a motivated Attorney III to handle, defend, litigate, and resolve workers’ compensation cases, working closely with internal and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with internal and external clients
- Drafting compelling pleadings, correspondences, and communications
- Conducting thorough discovery
- Skillfully negotiating and drafting settlements
- Making confident court appearances, including trials
Skills
- Licensed to practice law in California
- Ability to handle, defend, litigate, and resolve workers' compensation cases
- Strong collaboration skills with internal and external clients
- Ability to draft pleadings, correspondences, and communications
- Experience in conducting discovery
- Skill in negotiating and drafting settlements
- Confidence in making court appearances, including trials
- Background Investigation clearance prior to being hired
- Litigation experience
- Newly admitted attorneys are highly encouraged to apply
