Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive company vehicles while adhering to safety standards, taking pride in our well-maintained equipment.
  • Unload merchandise safely (either bulk or drummed) using provided equipment.
  • Maintain accurate E.L.D. and DOT logs, ensuring all paperwork is current for inspection.
  • Process required documentation by getting signatures and verification.
  • Load and unload trucks, checking that all material details match the paperwork accurately.
  • Rotate raw materials to adhere to the first-in, first-out principle.
  • Engage in warehouse operations such as order fulfillment, using safely protocols.
  • Take opportunities to learn batching processes for products like teat dips and drum filling.
  • Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Your Profile / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 1 year of CDL experience with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements.
  • Experience in managing trip logs with precision.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Valid Class A Commercial License with Hazardous Material and Tanker Endorsements.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpretation of measurements.
  • Familiar with safety protocols such as lock-out/tag-out, confined spaces, HAZMAT, and forklift safety.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular walking between different department areas.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, with the ability to handle loads of up to 500 pounds using forklifts.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and reaching for objects.
  • Regular use of stairs is required.

Work Environment:

  • Occasional handling of regulated hazardous chemicals.
  • Exposure to dust, odors, and fumes.
  • Work in varying environmental conditions including heat, humidity, and cold.
  • Moderate noise levels throughout the workspace.

The typical starting pay for this position is between $30 and $35 per hour. GEA has varying base pay ranges based on different work locations in the U.S. This range is given as an estimate and final offers will be based on skills, experience, location, and qualifications. You may also qualify for additional rewards such as discretionary bonuses and/or equity awards.
