Commercial Account Opening Specialist

Busey is a financial institution providing banking services, and they are seeking a Commercial Account Opening Specialist to assist in opening and maintaining commercial deposit accounts. The role involves collaborating with the Treasury and Commercial Sales team to ensure client needs are met and all administrative tasks are performed efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Treasury and Commercial Sales Associates to support client needs and requests
  • Complete documentation for new account setups and send documentation to clients for execution
  • Open Deposit accounts for commercial clients
  • Perform various maintenance for commercial accounts, including but not limited to, changing account signers, address changes, and adjusting account types
  • Ensure that all administrative tasks and duties are executed in a professional, timely and efficient manner
  • Consistently maintain a high level of communication with Treasury and Commercial Sales Associates and clients
  • Follow all processes and procedures to mitigate risk for the bank
  • Remain current with regulatory and/or Commercial deposit products and service changes
  • Interact with internal and external clients while providing service excellence
  • Reliable and predictable attendance; both onsite and remote

Skills

  • High school diploma required
  • Proven performer in a fast-paced service-oriented role
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workflow and projects, support and function in a team-based environment
  • Communication Skills; both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated success in a multi-task environment with attention to detail and follow through
  • Persistence, flexibility, and a high service orientation are required, as well as a reputation for dependability, professionalism and a commitment to teamwork
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial account products, services and operations preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with office automation equipment, including phones, computers and related banking software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and DocuSign preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree, (Business Administration or a related field preferred) or equivalent work experience preferred
  • One year commercial account opening experience preferred
