Operating across multiple states, arenaflex partners with leading health systems to deliver exceptional revenue cycle services, customer support, and operational excellence. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure every patient interaction is handled with empathy, accuracy, and respect, freeing up healthcare providers to focus on what matters most — caring for people.

At arenaflex, we believe that outstanding customer service is the backbone of a thriving healthcare ecosystem. We are currently expanding our remote workforce and are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representatives to join our team. If you thrive in a structured yet supportive environment, enjoy solving problems, and find purpose in helping others, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Position Overview

We are actively hiring Remote Customer Service Representatives to support our patient account services operations. This role is essential to delivering a seamless and positive experience for every patient who reaches out to arenaflex. As a representative, you will be responsible for resolving patient account inquiries, processing payments, addressing billing concerns, and ensuring that each interaction reflects the highest standards of professionalism and compassion.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in our service footprint states, including WA, OR, MT, NM, and TX. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time schedules, with multiple openings available. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). Please note that schedules may shift slightly depending on training needs and evolving business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your day-to-day contributions will directly impact patient satisfaction and operational success. Your core duties will include:

  • Patient Account Resolution: Handle inbound and outbound calls from patients regarding billing statements, insurance claims, payment plans, and account balances. Ensure timely and accurate resolution of all inquiries.
  • Positive Customer Experience: Deliver a warm, empathetic, and professional experience to every patient. Treat each caller with dignity, compassion, and respect, while safeguarding their personal and medical information in full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Schedule Adherence: Maintain close adherence to assigned schedules, break times, and handle time standards to ensure consistent service delivery and team performance.
  • Performance Standards: Meet and exceed established service level agreements (SLAs), quality benchmarks, and productivity targets as defined by arenaflex leadership.
  • Documentation & Accuracy: Accurately document all patient interactions, account updates, and resolution steps in our CRM and electronic health record systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams — including billing, coding, and clinical departments — to escalate complex issues and ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in coaching sessions, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance personal and team performance.
  • Financial Stewardship: Support arenaflex's revenue cycle goals by identifying opportunities for account reconciliation, payment collection, and reducing outstanding balances.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center, healthcare, or financial services environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, patient-friendly manner.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using computers, navigating multiple software applications, and learning new systems quickly.
  • Reliable Internet & Workspace: Must have a secure, high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for remote work.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing schedules, including occasional training sessions or business needs outside normal hours.

Note: Candidates hired into on-call (non-benefited) positions may have the education and experience requirements waived at the discretion of arenaflex.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, insurance verification, or patient access services.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy best practices.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.

Skills and Competencies for Success

To excel in this role at arenaflex, you'll need a blend of technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and personal drive. We're looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry, account documentation, and compliance adherence.
  • Resilience: The capacity to remain calm, professional, and productive when handling high call volumes or challenging conversations.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
