[Remote] Director – New Business Development (Media & Entertainment)

They are seeking a Director – New Business Development in Media & Entertainment to drive strategic revenue growth by acquiring new clients and building relationships within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Drive new logo acquisition and revenue growth within the Media & Entertainment vertical
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with organizational growth objectives
- Identify, qualify, and pursue large-scale business opportunities and enterprise accounts
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to exceed annual revenue targets
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, including prospecting, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiations, and contract execution
- Establish and nurture C-level and senior executive relationships across target accounts
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on business transformation, digital innovation, and industry trends
- Develop executive sponsorship programs to strengthen long-term client engagement
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities within the Media & Entertainment sector
- Identify new market segments, partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and executive forums
- Partner with marketing, solution consulting, delivery, product, and customer success teams to develop winning strategies
- Lead pursuit teams for large and strategic opportunities
- Mentor and guide sales professionals on enterprise hunting and deal strategy
- Contribute to go-to-market planning and vertical growth initiatives
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting
- Provide regular business updates and strategic insights to executive leadership
- Ensure CRM compliance and sales process discipline
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
- 15–20+ years of enterprise sales and business development experience
- 8+ years of experience selling into Media & Entertainment organizations
- Demonstrated success in acquiring and growing strategic enterprise accounts
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding multi-million-dollar revenue targets
- Experience leading complex, consultative sales engagements involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers
- MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification
- Existing executive network within media, broadcasting, streaming, gaming, advertising, sports, and entertainment sectors
- Experience selling technology services, digital transformation, cloud, data & AI, cybersecurity, SaaS, consulting, or managed services
- Deep understanding of OTT, content production, media supply chains, digital advertising, audience analytics, and emerging media technologies
