[Remote] Senior Paid Media Manager (AI Native)

Schaefer is a paid media agency focused on food and beverage brands, seeking a Senior Paid Media Manager to oversee the strategy and management of paid media programs. This role involves hands-on campaign optimization, client collaboration, and leveraging AI tools to enhance performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end strategy, management, and performance for paid media campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and retail media networks
- Build, launch, and optimize campaigns directly in-platform, from account structure and audience strategy through creative testing and budget pacing
- Set and hit performance targets (ROAS, CAC, efficiency, incrementality), and translate results into clear client-facing narratives
- Develop full-funnel media plans grounded in audience insight and aligned to each client's revenue goals
- Own the delivery and presentation of weekly, biweekly, and monthly performance reports based on each client's cadence, including presenting results and recommendations directly to the client
- Partner with creative to brief, test, and iterate on ad creative that drives measurable performance
- Lead client communication on paid media, including recaps, recommendations, and strategic direction
- Stay ahead of platform changes, measurement shifts, and emerging channels relevant to F&B brands
- Use AI tools — Claude, GPT, and others — to work at a level that would otherwise require a larger team. You're actively building faster workflows, sharper briefs, and better analyses using AI today. Not waiting to learn it
Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on paid media experience (Meta, TikTok, Retail Media), with a track record of owning strategy and performance independently
- Agency experience, or a proven track record working across a high volume of clients or brands simultaneously
- Proven performance experience with food & beverage or CPG brands
- You're actively using AI tools like Claude, Perplexity, GPT, and others to do more than would otherwise be possible. This isn't a bonus skill. Candidates who aren't already doing this won't be competitive for this role
- Deep, current expertise managing campaigns on Meta and TikTok
- Direct, hands-on experience with at least one major retail media network, including but not limited to Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, or Instacart
- Demonstrated ability to manage yearly budgets of varying sizes, from $100,000 to multi-million-dollar accounts, and be accountable for measurable outcomes
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable in platform dashboards, GA4, and pulling a clear story out of the data
- You genuinely thrive managing a high volume of clients simultaneously. The breadth motivates you. You don't need a small, tidy book of business to do your best work, you need the scoreboard
- You're motivated by performance, not activity. When results are off, it bothers you and you don't wait to be asked to fix it

- Strong communication skills- you live in Notion and Slack, and communicate early and often
- Connected TV (CTV) campaign experience, planning and executing CTV campaigns for DTC or CPG brands
- Pinterest Ads experience, particularly for F&B or lifestyle brands
- Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Shopping) — a strong plus for clients with broader channel strategies
