Description of Work This Engineer Technician II position is located in the Sylva VR/IL Unit Office and will provide support to the Rehabilitation Engineer I positions that work in the Western Region of NC. At least 95% of the presented problems pertain to the needs of clients who have severe disabilities and are referred to the engineers by either an Independent Living or a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. The duty station for this position will be located in the Western Region at the discretion of management and program needs. Job responsibilities include the following:
- Making recommendations for suitable home and work modifications for persons with disabilities
- Troubleshooting process and equipment problems
- Reviewing completed projects
