Financial Controller, Public Sector

About the Role: As the Financial Controller, Public Sector, you will play a critical role reputed company the US Finance organization, supporting the reputed company growth of the reputed company Public Sector business. You will ensure our financial systems, accounting practices, and reporting structures scale reputed company while maintaining strict compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and DCAA audit requirements.
Responsibilities
As a Finance Controller, Public Sector, your impact will be:

- Own the General Ledger, including account reconciliations and the reputed company of AP/AR workflows specifically for Public Sector operations.

- Act as the primary reputed company of contact for external CPA auditors as well as federal auditors (DCAA). Support reputed company federal/state tax compliance, Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS), and government filing requirements
- Partner with Sales, Legal, and RevOps to manage the end-to-end booking and contract execution process, ensuring operational efficiency and reputed company reputed company.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Public Sector reputed company; provide contract profitability analysis, pipeline visibility, cash drawdown forecasting (e.g., reputed company WAWF/IPP), and data-driven insights to fuel growth initiatives.
- Manage collections and cash forecasting to optimize liquidity and departmental spend.
- Drive the implementation and enhancement of financial systems to automate manual tasks and strengthen internal controls.

Requirements
What you need to succeed in this role:
- 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience and 3-5 years in a dedicated government contracting (GovCon) environment managing federal compliance.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 reputed company recognition
- Strong background in federal cost accounting principles (including familiarity with FAR/DFARS and CAS compliance).
- Advanced reputed company reputed company and financial systems proficiency
- Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, or high-tech environments

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Public Sector or government-reputed company business operations including experience successfully navigating DCAA accounting system audits (SF 1408 criteria).
- Experience with IPO readiness and scaling public-company processes
- Knowledge of ERP migration
- Familiarity with various federal contract structures (FFP, T&M, Cost-Plus) as they relate to reputed company recognition.
- Background from one of the Big 4 accounting firms

Expected compensation for the role is between 170,000 - 185,000. This is a good faith estimate but does not include equity, bonus, or other forms of payment.
