Lead, Network Architect (VIRTUAL/REMOTE)

About the position The Lead Network Architect at Humana is responsible for designing and developing IT infrastructure architecture solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards. This role involves addressing complex business problems, evaluating network performance, and conducting feasibility studies to optimize network capacity. The architect will lead the engineering and design of next-generation network infrastructure, ensuring performance, resiliency, and innovation while collaborating with various leaders across the enterprise. Responsibilities • Design and develop IT infrastructure architecture solutions to business problems. , • Evaluate network performance criteria and measurement methods. , • Conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. , • Develop alternative routing scenarios and changes in network activities. , • Advise executives on functional strategies regarding network architecture. , • Manage vendors and service providers, ensuring adherence to service level agreements. , • Support the management of Network OpEx budget and make recommendations for future needs. , • Research and recommend new technologies and solutions to meet business needs. , • Document and update all network infrastructure and supported business processes. , • Assist in motivating and growing the Network Engineering team. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of experience in a Lead Network Engineering or above role. , • 8 or more years of infrastructure experience. , • 2 or more years of project leadership experience. , • Experience integrating new technologies with existing technologies. , • Experience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impact.
