This is an onsite position, in which the successful candidate would need to be able to commute to the office location 5 days a week (Fort Washington, PA). The role: The accounting team is responsible for financial reporting, transaction processing, tax compliance, and cash management. As an Accounting Associate your responsibility will include becoming the Company?s expert in Life Settlement Policy Accounting supporting the Controller responsible for Inventory operations. The ideal Accounting Associate will have : ? Bachelor?s degree in Data Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in data, accounting or finance. ? Strong database management skills and setting up cost layers to automate Policy Accounting. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures (emphasis on portfolio oversight including financial assets or inventory management accounting). ? Excellent communication and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. ? Excellent knowledge of Excel ? Understanding of Inventory Management Systems As an Accounting Associate you will have the following responsibilities: ? Perform accounting operations related to Life Settlement Policy Inventory, variance analysis, reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations. Record journal entries for Policy Inventory and improve automation. ? Aptitude in fair value measurement of financial assets. Ensure compliance with accounting, tax standards, and company policies pertaining to Policy Inventory. ? Implementation and update of an Inventory Management System to track Life Settlement Policy Basis.
